About Semarang – The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) together with the Indonesian Parliament continues to expand the implementation of the Free Nutritious Eating Program (MBG) as part of the efforts of President Prabowo Subianto in improving the welfare of the community through the strengthening of nutrition.
The socialization of the MBG program this time took place at the Cilacap BLK Building, Friday (July 25, 2025), with the theme “Together Realizing the Healthy Generation of Indonesia”. The event began at 13.00 WIB and was attended by hundreds of participants from various circles.
In this activity, attended by members of the House of Representatives Commission IX, Teti Rohayatiningsih, BGN Promotion and Education Staff, Teguh Suparngadi, and the Head of Central Cilacap SPPG, Farizal Surno Suwito.
Member of the Indonesian Parliament, Teti Rohayatiningsih, welcomed this program which provides quality nutrition access for children as the next generation of the nation. In addition to health benefits, MBG is also believed to be able to encourage economic growth and open jobs around the community.
“The MBG program is not only to meet the nutritional needs of children, but also plays a role in moving the local economy and creating jobs,” said Teti.
Teti also reminded the people of Cilacap to be careful of individuals who claimed to be BNG representatives and offer a Healthy Kitchen Program (SPPG) by asking for funds in advance.
“The public must be vigilant so as not to be fooled by irresponsible individuals. The official registration of Bgn Mitra only through the official website of mitra.bgan.go.id,” he said.
Meanwhile, Teguh Suparngadi added that the MBG program aims to strengthen the quality of human resources through increasing food security and encouraging local economic growth.
“The President targets that all regions of Indonesia can feel the benefits of this program by the end of 2025,” he said.
The development of the program in Cilacap Regency was also conveyed Teguh, that currently there are 10 Healthy Kitchen (SPPG) that have been operating from a total needs of around 139 SPPG.
“In addition to 10 active SPPG, there are 5 in the operational process and around 35 others are still in the development stage,” Teguh explained.
Head of Central Cilacap SPPG, Farizal Surno Suwito, invited the public to actively participate, especially in providing food for healthy kitchens.
“The community is expected to start planting vegetables and raising livestock to support the supply of healthy kitchen raw materials. Some regions begin to experience lack of raw materials that can interfere with SPPG operations,” added Farizal.
This MBG program not only focuses on the provision of nutritious food for children and pregnant/breastfeeding women, but also aims to change the culture of eating to be healthier through comprehensive nutritional education.
With the sustainability and active participation of the community, the MBG program is expected to be able to create a healthier, intelligent and competitive Indonesian generation of Indonesia.
